Feeding Different Liquids to Petunias by Frank

My topic is feeding different liquids to plants I chose this topic because I like gardening

My question was to figure out which white petunia plant would live longer when fed the following liquids 1) water/fertilizer, 2) water/lemon juice, 3) water/liquid soap, 4) water, 5) Sprite, and 6) milk

My hypothesis was that the plant that is fed a water/fertilizer mixture would do the best because it has the right nutrition for the plants

My data was that I used the same type of pot and the same amount of regular potting soil for each plant I also fed the plants the same of amount of liquid for 3 weeks All of the plants were located in a sunny, outside location To feed the plants I diluted the water/fertilizer, water/lemon juice, and water/liquid soap 1/4 cup water to 1 teaspoon of the substance The water was regular tap water and the Sprite and milk were used at full-strength

My conclusion was that the plants fed water/fertilizer, water, water/lemon juice, and milk lived The plants fed Sprite and water/soap died after 2 weeks The plant fed water/lemon juice appeared the greenest and healthiest The plant fed milk was green but the leaves were curled up

Next year, I hope the students will test the plants longer than 3 weeks and feed them different liquids
