The Intellegent (sic) Anoles
By Aisley and Jacob
Our Question: Can a lizard navigate a maze?
Our hypothesis: An anole can navigate through a maze.
Maze Information: The length of our box was 1 ft. 5 in., the height was 4in., and the width was 11in.
Week One: First we measured a box to construct the maze. Then we designed the maze. During that time Aisley sketched down a picture of the maze, in case it got destroyed. After that we put in obstacles to confuse the anoles. When we finished the obstacles we sketched the maze inside the box. We used symbols for the obstacles. Then we constructed the maze and glued it together.
Week Four: After we made a place place we taped the maze down. It was two-sided tape. We worked on the play place some more. Then we made an elevator out of a box. The next day we ran a lizard through the maze. It did very interesitng (sic) things. On that day, Jacob took the maze home and ran his anole through. It made it through the maze in 5 min. 45 sec. Then Jacob ran the anole through one more time. This time it ran the maze in 5 seconds. A few days later, Jacob got another anole. We ran it through once and it made it in 2 seconds.
Anole Data

Blue eyes 5 He was tied with Lizy
Blue eyes 6 He was second
Ralph 1278 He was the slowest one
Ralph 300 He was getting better
Ralph 67 He was getting closer
