Fossils

The topic I picked was fossils. I picked thus topic because I like animals and if I learn about fossils I will learn about newly discovered animals. The discoveries I made with fossils are that when you find a fossil usually it is in sedimentary rock. Also I discovered that fossils are animals and plants.

The question I have is, "Can fossils make other fossils?' I thought of this question because at an earlier KIC two boys were talking about Mars and they thought there might be sedimentary rocks on Mars. So I decided tc do fossils. Maybe I can help by doing fossils.

A fossils is a plant or animal from a long time ago. Most fossils consist only of shells, teeth, bones, and other hard parts. Most dead plants and animals are eaten by other animals or decayed by bacteria or fungi. Most fossils are shaped like plants, animals, and stars. Animals are living things that sometimes become buried in mud, clay, or material that hardens around them.

To do my investigation I first got the things I needed. They were water, soil, buckets, fossils, and mud. Then I made a poster telling about kinds of fossils. Later, I staged to make fossils by taking mud, putting the fossils in the mud, and letting them sit. Then I started to get some facts. I made new fossils by burying old ones. I learned that fossils are very important to learn about different animals from a long time ago.

I think future students should try doing fossils. I guarantee you will like it. I wanted to fins fossils too. A question for future study is, "Are fossils found everywhere on the earth?"
