Beauty In The Sky
By: Ashley & Allyson
We are doing our research on clouds and rainbows. We got the idea while we were looking through Ashley's scrapbook and found a picture of clouds and rainbows.
These are the questions we are going to answer. What is a cloud? Do clouds fall from the sky? How do clouds form? How many kinds of clouds are there? What is a rainbow made of? How is a rainbow formed? How many colors are in a rainbow? And, what order are the colors in? We are also doing an experiment called "How to make a rainbow."
You will need the following materials: A large square pan, a large white piece of cardboard, a mirror, water, sunlight, and a window. First fill the large square pan with water. Then put it in front of a window that has a lot of sunlight. Then put the large white cardboard in between the pan of water and the window. Then take the mirror and put it in the pan of water. Then move the mirror around in front of the large piece of cardboard and make sure the sunlight from the window reflects off of the mirror onto the cardboard. After that you should see a rainbow on the white cardboard from the reflection of water and the sunlight's reflection.
We have not finished our research so come to our K.l.C. program to find out all of the answers.
