Science inquiry
is a
scientific approach to writing, reading, and understanding the language
of nature. It integrates 'hands-on' and scientific intellectual
activity with important aspects of literacy. In this session,
presenters engage participants in a science investigation of a common
phenomenon using an inquiry-based science teaching model. Participants
gain firsthand experience in science inquiry and in how they might use
inquiry as a rich context for cultivating and enhancing students'
science knowledge and literacy.
